Day 01 - Guwahati Airport / Rail Station –Shillong
On arrival at Guwahati airport/Rail. Station you will be received by our representative, who will bewaiting for a warm welcome just outside of the airport (customs area) / Rail. Station by your nameplate /your referral and proceed to Shillong (103 km), the capital of Meghalaya, the Scotland of the East. Swaddled amidst wraith-like mists is aptly called the abode of the clouds. It is one of India’s prettiest and youngest states (the 21st.) having split away from Assam in 1972.Standing out amongst the other states, for its unique traditional and natural beauty. On the way if time permit we will take a break for a lots of fun & entertainment with the boating/water sports in incredible Umiam Lake. From here shillong is just 17 kms. On arrival Check into hotel. Relax and evening take a glance of shillong Bazar which open till around 8.30 pm. Back to Hotel. Enjoy the dinner and overnight stay.
Day 02 - Shillong – Cherrapunjee - Shillong
Early in the morning, we will take you to Cherrapunjee, famed for being the wettest place in the world. After a drive of two hours amid pine trees and mists we reach Cherrapunjee. Cherrapunjee possesses some exotic water falls and impressive limestone caves. At Cherrapunjee, we visit Nohkalikai falls, being the world’s fourth tallest water fall, Mawsmai falls, Thangkharang Park and Mawsmai cave which is one of the 100 old limestone caves in Meghalaya. After lunch, we proceed towards Barapani Lake. Enroute we visit Elephant falls and Shillong peak. At Barapani Lake we check in at Resort.
Day 03 - Transfer to Guwahati
After breakfast drive back to Guwahati - It is approximately 130 Kilometers and is 3 ½ hours drive by car - Reach guwahati check into hotel - Freshen up and next Maa Kamakhya Temple - Situated atop the Nilachal Hills, the foremost shrine of Assam, Kamakhya is an ancient seat of Tantrik and Shakti cults of Hinduism - The temple offers grandstand views of the river Brahmaputra and its surroundings - The reigning deity here is Goddess Parvati (Sati) - Guest can have lunch at a local cuisine restaurant and then free for shopping at Assam Emporium / Jagaran - Evening enjoy river cruise on mighty Brahmaputra (Cruise is subjected to Water condition + availability and on direct payment basis) - Next drive back to Hotel / Resort - Overnight stay at Guwahat
Day 04 - Shillong Sightseeing tour
This is the relaxes day Whole day. After breakfast sight-seeing programme at Shillong. Morning proceed to Shillong peak(1965 m) from where one can see the whole of Shillong town, Also visit State Museum – the ideal place to get a quick insight into the life of the tribes of Meghalaya, as this Museum showcases their history, ethnography and lifestyle. Also visit Wards lake-where one can have a fun with self-boating or refreshment by seating under a tree, Lady Hydari Park, etc. Elephant Falls.
Day 05 - Shillong - Guwahati (Approx - 120 kms 3 hrs)
Today after breakfast check out of your hotel and then you will drive to Guwahati. On arrival Check-in to your hotel. Later you will proceed to Pabitora Wildlife Sanctuary. This Wildlife Sanctuary has a wide variety of animals like Indian one horned Rhinos, Elephants, Asiatic Buffaloes, birds etc. In the evening enjoy cruise ride on Brahmaputra River. Overnight Guwahati.
Day 06 - Guwahati - Airport / Railway Station
Today morning you may visit Kamakhya Temple, a famous pilgrimage for the faithful. Later check out of the hotel and you will be transferred to Airport / Railway Station for your return journey.
